Hand Dyed Baby Wraps, Scarves and other hand made items.
Bohemian can be defined as a person, who is an artist or writer, who lives and acts free of regard for conventional rules and practices. My art techniques are unconventional and living on a remote cattle station in the middle of the Northern Territory, Australia, I have developed my own style free from conventional rules and influences.
Bower can be defined as a shady, leafy shelter or recess in a garden or woods and a picturesque country cottage. In Australia the Bower Bird collects beautiful items to decorate his nest. I find a connection with all of these and feel they all apply to my work. I love making and collecting beautiful things. All my pieces are hand dyed, 100% cotton muslin fabric, with non-toxic colour-fast acrylic colours. I make scarves, baby wraps and bunting as well as embellishing baby clothes with these acrylic colours. Each piece is unique, no pattern is ever the same and no pattern is repeatable, although the same colours can be used.
Teaching my two daughters since 2004 through distance education has proven to me that distance means nothing when you have the internet.
